Idealistics Inc. is a social enterprise that builds web-based technological solutions that help social services help people better. We offer two lines of systems, Case Management and Community Resources. Our systems are relied on by government and non-profit agencies to report social outcomes and connect people to community programs.

More than just a software company, our staff and advisors have backgrounds in social services, data analysis, and software engineering. As former service providers ourselves, we build systems agencies need to improve client outcomes.

David Henderson and Michael Gechter founded Idealistics in 2005 to build technologies that make social services more effective and efficient. David and Michael had the idea for Idealistics while running a non-profit agency that serves low-income and homeless families.

They realized that in order to make their agency better they needed a case management solution that:

• Helped them aggregate data and report to funders
• Was easy for case managers to use; and
• Automated the process of placing clients with community programs

Unable to find a solution that met their needs, they created their own. The technology proved effective, helping their non-profit raise its clients’ monthly household incomes from a starting average of 45% of the poverty-line to 87% of the poverty-line on program exit.

Based on the success of their system, David and Michael founded Idealistics to do for other organizations what technology did for their non-profit.

We also believe that every community and social service agency is unique, and needs a customized solution to meet their particular needs. Therefore, our mission is to build custom information systems that communities need to resolve crises.
